Our Home

As promised, here are some photos of our house. We bought it last fall, brand new. True to Dutch style, the house was merely cement walls and we had to install the floors, paint the walls, do the yard, etc. These are a few months old, but I am too lazy to take new ones - lol. Still, many of you, family and friends, will never make it to visit us. So, here is our home! Some of the pictures are, um sideways, but I am not yet that talented with this - sorry!

The first is our bedroom. You will see that we have followed Dutch trend - very modern and minimalist. I haven't yet taken a photo of Hannah's room - maybe later! (also modern) The second is one of our bathrooms, which has a large, wonderful bathtub -luxury here! The third is our living room. My sister painted the wall and did a great job!

Here is our kitchen with the cool little tiles - we just love them. Sadly, the photo doesn't do
them justice. On the otherside of the wall and not in the photo are our fridge and freezer. They are cool b/c from the outside, they just look like cabinet doors - love that!

The other, um, sideways photo shows our dining room table, which opens up to be twice the size - very handy.

Finally, the last two photos show our third flour guestbedroom. Half is a simply guest room and the other half is my work out area :-)

Ok, so my home is much more enjoyable to see IN PERSON, so everyone is welcome to visit :-)

But for those who probably wont ever make it, hope you enjoyed the pictures!!

Introducing ourselves...

OK, I am joining the Blogging community!

Over the past couple years, Matthijs and I have enjoyed developing our new "Nieuwveld Family." Since we married in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2004, sealed a year after his baptism in the Orlando temple and are now expecting our first child in just 6 weeks, it has been a wonderful time of love, growth and adventure.

We have been living in Rotterdam, Netherlands and when I get a chance, I will post some pictures of the fun trips we've taken in the area.

But, for now, I am also making this blog for my family and friends who are all so far away. This way they can follow the end of my pregnancy and enjoy the birth and growth of our new baby. I am due July 30th - so not very long away! My stomach has really starting to grow quickly - every day it seems a little bit bigger than the day before!

I am now 34 weeks along and I took this picture at the beginning of 33 weeks! (try not to laugh, b/c its not the best picture...) I will try and take another one at 36 weeks!
