Winterwonderland!

Hannah went and visited her cousins yesterday in the nearby neighborhood of Nesselande. Like most of the area now, we are enjoying clear, sunny skies (daily now for a few weeks!!!) with snow thats not melting and canals which have become the perfect free ice skating rinks!! Kids are having a blast, including Hannah. Man it is cold though - but much better than the warmer, cloudy, windy and wet twilight-zone winters we normally have to endure. This year is actually fun!

Snowy white winter

WOW! Its rare for it to snow here and hardly ever sticks, but this year we keep getting snow! The water is iced over so deep that the kids are all enjoying ice skating. The sun is actually hanging around for a change and everything is so bright! What a nice new year's gift from HF :-)

Preppy Hannah - lol

So, we tried on Hannah's new boots this morning and she loved walking around in them. I think they are just too cute! Meanwhile, i threw her sweater over her shoulders (to warm for inside) just for laughs and she actually left it on. Its 80s prep style ;-) She is really working on her language skills now - repeating words much clearer and using them more frequently. I am even getting her to use the English words as well. She feeds herself quite well now and refuses to eat unless she can do it herself. I just love it when she grows and learns like this. Its so fun to watch!
