Beach Day: Play Group

We are really pushing our luck here with so many warm days! I mean, its only like the 70s, at best low 80s, but that is super warm for here. And, since only businesses have air conditioning - you dont really want it warmer - its like melting in the house! I recently got together with the other mothers from our church's nursery and started a play group Wednesday mornings, my one day off during the week. It is a lot of fun, especially for me because I get to socialize with other American moms. It is also great for Hannah and she really likes the other girls. Since this week the weather has been clear, warm and sunny - we planned a beach day! It looked so nice out and felt great! I had to work hard to prevent Hannah from simply getting sand all over the food and Christian (yes, I am a stresser - lol), but otherwise it was a lot of fun. It felt so good to get some sun :-) Hope everyone is doing well!

Otherwise, we are doing well. Matthijs is still working hard and looking forward to his promotion this September. We also should hear about moving to NYC in September. Meanwhile, last week I returned to work. Its hard to balance the two because I love doing both. At work, its hard for me not to want to stay and keep working on things because I am really having fun. I rthink I've found the perfect fit with my current firm/team. At home, its hard to ever want to leave with Christian getting so cute and Hannah at such a fun learning stage. Ahhhhh....the dilemma!

well, happy 4th of July to all! We are fortunate enough to have 2 BBQs with other Americans to attend and celebrate the special independence day!!!
