More family photos

These are just some extra photos I've taken over theh past couple weeks. Hannah is being such ha good big sister. She enjoys helping me hold the bottle while feeding Christian and likes to push his swing :-) When she heads out in the morning, she always calls out "Bye Bye mommy, Bye Bye baby" - even if Christian is upstairs asleep. So cute! I am so relieved that she seems to be adjusting so well. Christian is still a calm baby, sticking to a decent schehdule and sleeping well - like how Hannah was. So - so far so good!

Today is a gorgeous sunny day. Every day since the weekend before Christian was bron has been warm and clear sunny skies - remarkable! I am enjoying some time with Christian while Matthijs spends the day golfing with his dad and Hannah is out at some park with her cousins :-)

Christian's bath time

Christian enjoys bath time :-) Our nurse was busy washing him today and I finally remembered to take photos - cute, huh? I love the second one down - such a smoldering look - lol. Meanwhile, in the last two photos its cute to see how both our kitty, Mickey, and our son, Christian, enjoy stretching out in total comfort. Christian was stretched out like this, with his legs fully extended, in my belly from left to right for most of the pregnancy. He seems pretty easy going so far!

Christian is born!

On July 30, 2007 Hannah Karlijn joined our family - exactly on her due date. Not wanting to be out done, Christian Jacobus was born on 13 April 2009, precisely on his due date! Cool, huh? This delivery was very similar to Hannahs - quick, strong and speedy contractions - so much so that they gave me the epidural (almost didn't - the nerve!). Sadly, it only worked on half my body - lol - oh well - better than none. Thankfully, though, no post complications and so we are doing well. We find handling two "babies" a challenge for two uptight attorneys ;-) but we are making it!

Christian has been a peaceful baby so far, but its early yet. He looked just like Hannah -weighing only about 7 ounces more than her at birth (so he weighs 7 ilbs 7 ounces) and having the same length (20 in), hair color and skin color. His face is starting, to us anyhow, to look different, but he looked just like Hannah when he first arrived.

I have posted the few photos we have since our camera's battery was dead. We have a few extra from Matthijs' parents but I haven't downloaded them onto the computer yet. Hope you enjoy! The final photos are some cute ones of Hannah from last week. I am trying to learn to do hair - lol. Cute, huh? Hannah is still trying to figure out the baby thing and gets a bit upset when I feed Christian or something, but otherwise she is doing very well :-)
