Hannah

This last one is a great example of two of the very important men in my life - cute, aren't they? lol.

The beginning photos are some adorable ones of Hannah. I finally caughter her smiling on camara!!! I have taken several but whenever the flash would go off, it would stun her and the smile always disappeared - lol. You will see how she is just like her aunt Tami with that adorable crooked smile!!!

The other photos are dark, sorry, but I did my best. The Monday before my trip to London I spent a day at a conference in Brussels, touring the EU buildings, which was a lot of fun. I really like Brussels :-))

I returned to work this week and Hannah spent her first week with her new babysitter. She was loved, well-fed and bathed everyday, which we loved! She is such a happy easy baby who never cries and coos all the time. She is rocking her body back and forth a lot too, trying to roll I imagine. So cute!

London - First Weekend Away

This past week my work sent me to a conference in London so that I could get my continuing legal education credits for the New York Bar. I had such a wonderful time figuring out how to use the Tube, understanding strange British accents and making lots of new friends!

The best part started Thursday night when Matthijs joined me. We went sightseeing on Friday and were blessed with perfect weather! On Friday night we saw the musical Footloose at the Playhouse Theater. It was fabulous and so funny! The best part was watching the British try to mimic a good ol'mid-west country town accent - lol. Of course, no one can play "Ren" better than Kevin Bacon. Matthijs had actually never even heard of the movie! I must be old...

We left early Saturday afternoon but were able to sneak in a couple hours of shopping for thank you gifts for Matthijs' parents since they watched Hannah for two nights. Fortunately, she sleeps through the night every night now :-) We stayed at a really nice hotel at the border of Hyde Park. It was a great area and only walking distance from Buckingham Palace and right on the shopping street, Oxford Street. I really love London!

Despite how great it was, we were both surprised to find that we simply couldn't wait to get home to our precious Hannah and kittys.
